PoliPrep Community Guidelines

PoliPrep is more than a course platform. It is a community of students preparing for similar academic challenges together.

These Community Guidelines are designed to keep PoliPrep community spaces welcoming, respectful, focused, and useful for everyone.

They apply to community spaces operated or managed by PoliPrep, including cohort communication channels, live sessions, and any in-platform discussion spaces made available as part of the Services.

By participating in a PoliPrep community space, you agree to follow these Guidelines, together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Where a community space is hosted on a third-party platform such as Telegram or WhatsApp, that platform's own terms and policies also apply.

Be respectful. Treat students, teachers, moderators, and staff with courtesy; Stay on topic. Use cohort spaces primarily for course-related learning and discussion; Ask questions freely. Basic questions are welcome; Respect privacy. Do not share another person's personal information, private messages, or community content without appropriate permission; Protect PoliPrep Content. Do not redistribute paid course materials, recordings, mock examinations, or other protected content; No spam or promotion. Community spaces are not advertising or recruitment channels; Study honestly. Do not cheat, impersonate others, or distribute prohibited examination content; Report problems. Tell us when something is unsafe, abusive, unlawful, or seriously disrupting the community.

Violations may result in content removal, a warning, temporary restriction from community spaces, permanent removal from community spaces, or other action permitted by the Terms of Service and applicable law.

Serious violations may result in suspension or termination of access to PoliPrep Services in accordance with the Terms of Service. Any mandatory consumer rights, including applicable refund or withdrawal rights, remain unaffected.

Everyone participating in PoliPrep should be treated with dignity and respect.

You must not engage in: insults or personal attacks; hate speech or slurs; harassment or bullying; threats or intimidation; discriminatory behavior; unwanted sexual attention or sexual harassment; deliberate humiliation; impersonation;; behavior intended to make another person feel unsafe or unwelcome.

Discriminatory or abusive conduct targeting characteristics such as nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics is not permitted.

Disagreements are normal. Personal attacks are not.

Cohort community spaces are primarily intended to support learning and participation in the relevant PoliPrep Course.

Appropriate discussions may include: course content and exercises; questions and explanations; examination logistics; university-related information relevant to the Course; study methods and preparation; useful, relevant educational resources;; constructive discussion and encouragement between students.

Unrelated discussions may be removed or redirected by moderators, particularly when they significantly interfere with the purpose of the community.

Examples of generally off-topic content include unrelated personal matters, political campaigning, unrelated commercial promotion, and repeated discussion of subjects outside the relevant Course.

Questions are an important part of the community.

You are encouraged to: ask questions regardless of your current level; explain your reasoning when seeking help; help other students when you know the answer; allow teachers or moderators to correct misunderstandings;; search recent discussions before repeatedly asking the same question where practical.

Students do not need to be experts to participate.

Constructive disagreement and different approaches to solving a problem are welcome.

Respect the privacy of students, teachers, moderators, and staff.

Unless you have appropriate permission or another lawful basis, do not: publish another student's personal contact information; share private conversations outside the intended participants; publish another student's photograph, recording, examination result, or other personal information; record or redistribute live sessions; redistribute course recordings; share paid Course Content outside the authorized cohort; share account credentials;; publish screenshots of private community discussions outside the community.

PoliPrep Content may be protected by intellectual-property rights. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution may result in enforcement under the Terms of Service and applicable law.

Community content may also contain personal data. Do not assume that content shared in a private cohort space can automatically be republished elsewhere.

PoliPrep is designed to help students learn.

You must not: ask another person to complete an assessment or practice test on your behalf; impersonate another student; use another person's account; deliberately interfere with another student's assessment; share answers in a way intended to undermine an active assessment; falsely represent another person's work as your own; distribute examination material that you are not legally permitted to distribute;; assist others in cheating.

If you believe a PoliPrep question, exercise, or mock examination contains an error, please notify a teacher or PoliPrep staff member so that it can be reviewed.

Do not distribute leaked or unlawfully obtained examination materials. Depending on the circumstances, doing so may breach examination rules, intellectual-property rights, confidentiality obligations, or applicable law.

Cohort spaces are primarily for students participating in the relevant PoliPrep Course.

Unless expressly authorized by PoliPrep, do not use them to: promote competing courses, tutors, or educational services; advertise products or services; recruit customers, employees, freelancers, or participants for external projects; repeatedly promote your own social-media account, website, newsletter, business, or product; solicit money or donations; post referral or affiliate links for personal benefit;; distribute spam or unsolicited commercial messages.

Educational resources

Students may share genuinely useful and relevant free educational resources, such as an official university document or a helpful explanation of a course concept, provided that the sharing is relevant and not primarily promotional.

Moderators may remove repeated, irrelevant, misleading, or promotional links.

During live sessions: keep your microphone muted when you are not speaking; use the chat or designated question mechanism where appropriate; avoid deliberately disrupting the session; join on time where reasonably possible; if you join late, avoid unnecessary disruption; use an appropriate display name; keep your camera on only where required by the specific session rules; otherwise, camera use is generally optional;; follow reasonable instructions from the teacher or moderator.

Please use a reasonably appropriate environment for a group educational setting.

Recording

Where PoliPrep records a live session, the recording will be handled in accordance with the information provided to participants and our Privacy Policy.

PoliPrep may limit or disable participant microphones, cameras, chat functions, screen sharing, or other features where reasonably necessary to conduct and secure a session.

Participants must not independently record, reproduce, or redistribute a live session or its recording without authorization.

Recording practices will be designed to respect applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.

Constructive criticism is welcome.

You can report: confusing lessons; incorrect or unclear questions; broken links; technical problems; scheduling problems; accessibility concerns; community problems;; suggestions for improving the Course or platform.

For a problem that is actively preventing participation in a live session, you may also contact the teacher or moderator through the relevant cohort channel.

Public criticism is not prohibited, but deliberately abusive, threatening, or disruptive conduct may be moderated.

If you experience or witness harassment, threats, discrimination, privacy violations, serious misconduct, or other behavior that violates these Guidelines, please report it.

Subject: Community concern

Where appropriate, include: what happened; when it happened; who was involved; the relevant community or session; screenshots or other evidence, where available and appropriate;; any other information that may help us investigate.

Please do not collect or share unnecessary personal information when making a report.

We will review reports in good faith and take action that is appropriate to the circumstances.

We will handle reports as confidentially as reasonably possible. We may need to share relevant information with staff, service providers, legal advisers, emergency services, law enforcement, or other parties where necessary to investigate an incident, protect people, comply with legal obligations, or exercise or defend legal claims.

We aim to acknowledge or respond to community reports within 2 business days, although complex matters may require more time.

PoliPrep may moderate community spaces to maintain a safe and useful learning environment.

Depending on the circumstances, we may: ask a participant to stop or modify a behavior; remove content; issue a warning; temporarily restrict access to a community space; permanently remove access to a community space; restrict participation in particular community features;; suspend or terminate access to paid Services where permitted under the Terms of Service.

We consider factors such as: seriousness of the conduct; whether the conduct was intentional; whether it was repeated; impact on other participants; potential safety or legal risks; whether the participant cooperated with moderation;; relevant previous violations.

We may take immediate action for serious violations, including threats, harassment, serious privacy violations, unauthorized distribution of protected content, fraud, or unlawful conduct.

Enforcement under these Guidelines does not automatically determine a customer's refund rights. Any cancellation, suspension, termination, or refund consequences are governed by the Terms of Service, applicable product terms, Refund Policy, and mandatory applicable law.

If you believe a moderation decision was incorrect or disproportionate, you may request a review by contacting:

Please explain: the moderation decision you are appealing; why you believe it was incorrect; any relevant context or evidence;; the outcome you are requesting.

Another member of the PoliPrep team may review the decision where reasonably practicable.

Appeals will be considered in good faith. A review does not automatically suspend the original moderation decision.

Where applicable law provides additional complaint or redress mechanisms, those rights remain unaffected.

Community spaces may be moderated by: PoliPrep teachers; PoliPrep staff; designated community moderators; senior students or alumni acting as moderators, where expressly identified as such.

Moderators are expected to apply these Guidelines reasonably and in good faith.

Community moderators do not represent that they provide legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice merely by participating in a community discussion.

PoliPrep teachers, staff and moderators communicate with students only through official PoliPrep channels (cohort spaces, live sessions and PoliPrep email). They will never ask students for personal photos, money, or private meetings outside PoliPrep activities. If anyone claiming to represent PoliPrep does this, please report it immediately.

Some PoliPrep community spaces may be hosted using third-party platforms such as Telegram or WhatsApp.

When you use those platforms: their own terms and privacy policies also apply; the platform may process technical information according to its own policies; availability may depend on the third-party provider;; PoliPrep does not control the third party's independent platform operations.

PoliPrep will provide relevant information about its own processing of personal data in the Privacy Policy.

Do not use PoliPrep community spaces to facilitate unlawful activity or to threaten or endanger others.

Where PoliPrep becomes aware of conduct that presents a serious safety risk or may require reporting under applicable law, it may take appropriate action, including contacting relevant authorities where legally justified or required.

Do not attempt to investigate serious criminal or safety incidents yourself. Report them to PoliPrep and, where appropriate, the relevant competent authority.

We may update these Guidelines as the community, Services, or applicable legal requirements evolve.

When material changes affect enrolled students, PoliPrep may communicate the changes through appropriate channels, including the relevant community space or email.

The Last updated date at the beginning of this document indicates the latest revision.

Changes to these Guidelines do not remove or reduce mandatory statutory rights.

These Community Guidelines complement the: PoliPrep Terms of Service; PoliPrep Privacy Policy; PoliPrep Cookie Policy;; PoliPrep Refund Policy.

In the event of a conflict:

• mandatory applicable law prevails;
• the Terms of Service govern contractual matters;
• the Privacy Policy governs personal-data processing; and
• these Community Guidelines govern community participation and moderation.
